Abstract
Hydrogen, is considered as a clean fuel and new and renewable energy sources. Hydrogen production using Reforming process is the most popular and most economical method in the world. In fact, the hydrogen production by steam reforming process depends on factors such as pressure, temperature and the ratio of reactants. This paper investigates the production of hydrogen from glycerol and ethanol both experimental methodology and thermodynamic analysis. In thermodynamic calculation, minimization of the Gibbs free energy method is used for calculation of equilibrium concentration of particles. Comparison between experimental and thermodynamic results indicates that the two methods are close to each other very well. In addition, studies show that the suitable conditions for production of hydrogen are at low pressure, high temperature and a high ratio of reactant to water.
