In this study, multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWNT) was synthesized by catalytic process of chemical vapor deposition (CVD) at 700°C. The crystal and physical structure of synthesized MWNT was confirmed by XRD analysis and SEM image respectively. The nanofluid was prepared by adding 1wt% of MWNT in distilled water. Then 1.5 g surfactant of SDS was added to the solution in order to complete stability of MWNT in water. Prepared Nanofluid was used in process of gas hydrate formation. After the formation of hydrate, with increasing temperature of reactor, hydrates become unstable slowly and its it gas was released.
The analysis of 95% released gas from hydrate was done by GC analysis and the compositions were compared with feed gas. Generally, the process of hydrate caused enrichment of methane in natural gas and hydrate holds impurities and undesirable non-carbon compounds into itself. The results showed an increase of 2.97% of methane in released gas than the feed, removal of corrosive compounds such as carbon dioxide and reduction of undesirable compounds such as nitrogen and oxygen from the feed.
In process of gas hydrate, purification was not need and during of gas storage by hydrate method without spend any additional costs and time purification Gas purification is doing parallel
In addition, it was found that MWNT increased solubility of gas in water by 2.7 times in addition; the volume of gas hydrate storage improved by 12.5% and stabilized the hydrate for 1 hour swift.
