Experimental Investigation of Synergistic Effect of Amino Acid Glycine with Various Metal Salts on Preventing of Ethan Gas Hydrate

Abstract
Kinetic and thermodynamic inhibitors have positive effects on controlling and preventing gas hydrate formation. The purpose of this work is to evaluate in vitro synergy between two groups of Thermodynamics and Kinetics inhibitors, in order to control the rates and induction time of ethane gas hydrate.  The experiments have been done in the presence of different combinations of amino acids glycine and various metal salts. All of tests have been conducted  at temperature of 275 K and pressure of 23 bar, in different concentrations of 1, 3, 5 and 10%  weight of salts. The results show that the effective concentration for each salt was different and the synergistic effect of mentioned inhibitors increase the induction time more 3 hours.
