English

Ultrasound-based technologies, as cost-effective and environmentally friendly methods, play a significant role in enhancing oil recovery from hydrocarbon reservoirs. By utilizing high-power ultrasonic waves, this technology reduces formation damage near the wellbore and removes obstacles to oil flow toward production wells. In this context, according to existing field reports, the application of ultrasound as a well stimulation method in Russian and American oil wells has led to a 30% improvement in oil production efficiency. This paper provides a comprehensive review of laboratory studies, field applications, and modeling related to the use of ultrasonic waves in oil recovery enhancement. Furthermore, by analyzing existing research, it identifies critical research gaps and proposes optimizing operational parameters (such as frequency and power) and developing accurate predictive models as key factors for improving productivity. This study emphasizes the necessity of adopting ultrasonic technology in oil wells to boost recovery rates and highlights its environmental and economic benefits. The findings presented in this research will have practical applications in reservoir management and production optimization in oil fields.
